Early in 2013 I jotted down a list of songs I had written over the years that I felt had something to offer. It had been 25 years since I last made such a list, after which I recorded the album 'Because' in 1988. These 'new' songs are either recently written ('I Need You' and 'It’s Christmas Time'), commissioned for a wedding ('Blessed Is The Man') or carol services ('In The Beginning' and 'God With Us Immanuel'), composed a while ago and in need of a make-over ('Hallelujah!', 'Father In Heaven' and 'Jesus The Precious Name') or just have never been recorded ('Jesus You Are Great', 'Awesome God', 'How Wonderful!' and 'Not I But Christ'). 'Living Water' was on the 'Because' album, but I wanted to revisit it.

My work on Garageband began; assisted by my son Matthew on drums, I added middle-eights, instrumental sections, or made more fundamental changes. John Murphy (a.k.a. Merfy), prolific composer and producer, challenged me to write something new, so 'Love' was born, as it were. He then imported these 14 tracks into Logic Pro and applied his genius to them: they took on new life. John and I laid down some vocals at his studio and invited various talented friends to add more vocals and other instruments (violin, saxophone, flute and double bass).

Within a few months, iNeedU was in the can.

I hope that you will enjoy these songs and that they will bless you as much as they have me - both musically and spiritually.
